Rosemary “Ro” Rukavena is a 1980 SUNY graduate. Prior to her extensive nineteen year real estate career, Ro was the Business and Human Resource Manager for a local optics company. Ro firmly believes that each of her clients is unique and has their own specific needs and desires for their future home. This belief is her motivation to carefully listen to her clients and to match them with the best possible home to meet their criteria. Ro takes pride in knowing that each of her sellers and buyers have received her expertise, care and undivided attention.
Ro has a strong reputation as a dedicated, highly responsive real estate professional who always puts her clients’ interest first and in doing so, has received numerous referrals from past clients. This dedication to clients and her responsiveness has resulted in Ro’s sales consistently escalating. She realizes that buying or selling a home can be a trying experience for some people. One of her key goals is to make this experience as enjoyable and problem free as possible.
Ro is an avid gardener who enjoys her two greenhouses where she grows her own organic vegetables. Having grown up on a dairy farm in Upstate NY, Ro has a great passion for the environment and animals and has a rescue dog named Quigley. She loves fine wine and gourmet cooking and along with her husband, Peter, is a home winemaker, and has won numerous medals at the Amateur Winemaker’s Competition at the New York State Fair.
Ro was the President of the Ithaca Board of Realtors in 2011 and was awarded Realtor of the Year. In addition, she was awarded the Housing Opportunities Award in both 2010 and 2013. Ro is a graduate of the Realtor® Institute and an Accredited Buyer Representative.
